A charming and stunningly-updated suite, the Shepherdess features modern amenities with elegant aesthetics that are warm and comfortable. In the interest of preserving the history and a nod to green design, we used everything we could from the original sinks to the baseboard trim. Even the floor joists salvaged from the new elevator pit were used as shelving in the kitchens and bathrooms. You'll love the completely renovated bathroom, which features a gorgeous walk-in shower and upgraded fixtures.
This suite includes an Applause iComfort with remote to raise the head for great evening or Sunday morning reading! Great quality cotton sheets soft to the touch help provide sweet sleep.
Our family-owned Historic Mercer provides boutique accommodations in a downtown setting. Beautiful original floors & stunning 8' x 3' windows. Built in 1906 ~ truly "green"! Kitchen with full-size appliances, walk-in tiled showers, & Yakima Valley views. Wifi, Smart TV & great beds provide relaxation. Head downstairs for morning coffee; complimentary Mercer Estates wine & on premises gym/yoga area.

We splurged to give you the best queen Serta beds we could find! These luxury queen-sized beds feature remote adjustments for evening or morning reading. Great quality cotton sheets washed with Laundress products are soft to the touch that helps provide sweet sleep.

Pet and Service Animal Policy
Out of respect to other guests who may be allergic only licensed service animals trained for a specific disability/condition are allowed at The Historic Mercer (no emotional support animals, no pets, no companion animals.) We require documentation. Guests who bring unauthorized pets/support/companion animals may be asked to leave premises.

Wheelchair Inaccessible
The suites are located on the 2nd floor. We do have an elevator, but due to the historic nature of this building the suites are not wheelchair accessible.
Cancellation Policy
Please confirm your plans prior to making your reservation. We are a small family run boutique accommodation and cancellations greatly affect us. We cannot be responsible for rooms due to late or canceled airline flights, family emergencies, threat of bad weather or other travel-related mishaps or changes in plans which may shorten your stay. While we do empathize, we must maintain our policy so that we may continue operating. Travel insurance is available to protect against any unexpected events and we strongly urge all travelers purchase travel insurance. When we reserve a room for you, we agree to turn away all other requests for the room you select and guarantee to hold it for the nights you reserved. Being a small operation, this means we have to turn away many inquiries for our rooms if they have already been booked. As such, we appreciate your understanding that we are unable to make exceptions to our cancellation policy.
A deposit may be taken at the time of your reservation. Should you feel it necessary to cancel your reservation there will be no charge if that cancellation is made 14 days or more from your arrival date. For cancellations 7 days or less from your arrival date there will be a full charge unless the room is re-rented.
For reservations of more than one of our rooms, holiday weekends, or special events, our cancellation policy is 14 days. Our prices and policies may vary for special events and holiday periods.
